Atricore’s JOSSO is a dual-licensed Cloud Single Sign-On (SSO) solution for point-and-click and standards-based Internet-scale SSO implementations. Using JOSSO allows secure internet access to the Web-based applications or services of customers, suppliers, and business partners.

This morning we released a new version with a raft of new features. We’ve been advising clients to consider version 2.4 for several months now, as the alpha and beta versions have become available, and we know of several already running this version on live sites.

JOSSO 2.4 emphasizes interoperability, extensibility, rapid setup, clean integration and exceptional user experience.

Here are a few highlights:

  • Our visual notation has been significantly extended, empowering users with new possibilities for rolling up even more complex settings yet without compromising ease of use.
  • We’ve introduced Social Sign-In capabilities to allow seamless access to applications for users with a social media ID. For instance, users with a Google account may connect to any of their apps, with no login prompts.
  • End-users now have their own portal for managing their account, as well as a dashboard for connecting to their available apps.
  • An out-of-band authentication layer has been introduced to reduce the risk of identity theft as well as fraud in general
  • Support for SOA-based access management has been heavily retrofitted leading to a much more lightweight and low-footprint solution
  • System integrators and implementers may now customize their settings down to the very core by leveraging our new IdentityFlow Domain Specific Language (DSL)
  • We’ve introduced support for Microsoft Sharepoint 2013, IBM Domino, Microsoft IIS 7 and 7.5, Apache Tomcat 8, Google App Engine (GAE), Spring Security 3
  • Official compatibility with Java 7
